ABOUT MY COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER
My Community Health Center (MCHC) Federally Qualified Health Center located in Canton, Ohio. MCHC provides high quality, comprehensive, primary care, and behavioral health care services in an environment of caring, respect and dignity. PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of the Medical Director is to provide oversight for clinical care delivery at MCHC, including reporting relationships with MCHC employed providers, clinical operations leadership, and behavioral health leadership. Collaborative oversight over medical residency programs providing services at MCHC with Aultman Medical Education program leadership is also an expectation. The Medical Director is responsible for the MCHC quality management plan and provides direct patient care services at 0.3 FTE. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Collaborative Physician Leadership and Nurse Practitioner Clinical Supervision:
1. Aultman Medical Education Collaborative Leadership
a. Work directly with the Vice President of Medical Education at Aultman hospital to determine strategic direction of the MCHC and Aultman Medical Education partnership and advocate for necessary program enhancements to provide an optimal experience for all collaborators and patients
b. Facilitate excellent working relationships with outpatient clinic decision makers for the following departments:
i. Family Medicine – Aultman Family Medicine Residency Program
ii. OB.GYN – Aultman OB.GYN Residency Program
iii. Internal Medicine – Canton Medication Education Foundation
2. MCHC Provider Supervision
a. Provide collaborative supervision to the following medical providers:
i. Nurse practitioner, OBGYN
ii. Nurse practitioner, internal medicine
iii. Nurse practitioner, family medicine – Gonder location
iv. Nurse practitioner, family medicine – Magnolia location
v. Additional providers as needed to support program growth
b. Maintain standard care arrangements for all nurse practitioners
3. Behavioral Health Program Supervision
a. Provide collaborative supervision to the Clinical Director – Behavioral health in collaboration with a contracted psychiatrist
b. Provide strategic direction for behavioral health program growth and excellence
Clinical Care:
1. Expansion and maintenance of clinical service lines
a. Growth of public health system focus
i. Substance use disorder integration
ii. Community based infectious disease program support and primary care integration
iii. Collaboration with local health departments
b. Lead by example in clinical service delivery and team-based care
2. Growth of 340B pharmacy program
a. Provide strategic direction for increased utilization of the onsite 340B pharmacy with integration of pharmacy expertise and care coordination into routine clinical care
b. Explore options for 340B program expansion, specifically in areas of specialty care utilization
3. Leadership in team-based care paradigm
a. Cultivate a culture of team ownership of all aspects of the patient’s experience and in achieving excellent clinical quality and preventive care results
b. Display leadership in behavioral health integration across programs and locations
c. Facilitate the development and integration of nurse care coordination and value-based care paradigms
Clinical Operations:
1. Maintain reporting relationships with the Clinical Manager and Operations Project Manager
2. Provide oversight and guidance for clinical operations goals and priorities based on the MCHC strategic plan
3. Guide execution of system level clinical operations improvement initiatives
Clinical Quality:
1. Oversee the quality management plan for MCHC:
a. Publish and share the annual QI plan
b. Oversee provider peer review
c. Provide quality updates and reports to the Board of Directors
d. Oversee quality reporting to the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers (OACHC) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)
2. Maintain a reporting relationship with the MCHC Quality and Credentialing Coordinator
3. Appoint a Quality Improvement Chair and work collaboratively with that individual and the Quality Coordinator to guide clinical quality improvement initiatives system wide

- Adhere to professional and ethical behavior standards of the healthcare industry
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Current, valid OH medical license
- Minimum two years’ experience in a healthcare leadership position required
- Previous FQHC experience preferred
- Previous quality improvement experience preferred
- Previous experience with integrated medical and behavioral health teams preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $230,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
