Property Manager – Apartment Community
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our apartment community. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills who can maintain high occupancy rates while delivering exceptional resident experiences.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the apartment community.
- Manage leasing activities, resident retention, renewals, and occupancy goals.
- Supervise and train leasing consultants, maintenance personnel, and office staff.
- Respond promptly to resident concerns and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Prepare and manage operating budgets while monitoring expenses and maximizing revenue.
- Coordinate property maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital improvement projects.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, local regulations, company policies, and lease agreements.
- Process rent collections, delinquencies, notices, and evictions in accordance with company procedures.
- Prepare financial reports, occupancy reports, and monthly performance metrics.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work and cost-effective service.
- Organize resident events and initiatives that promote community engagement and resident satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of property management experience, preferably in multifamily housing.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi, RealPage, AppFolio, Entrata, or OneSite.
- Strong leadership, budgeting, and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) designation or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience managing communities of 100+ units.
This is a long term temp position covering for someone on medical leave.
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
