Job Description: Cardiovascular Technologist
Duties:
- Perform General, Vascular, echocardiograms and other diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures
- Obtain and record patient history, vital signs, and other relevant medical information
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions
- Position patients and equipment to obtain high-quality images of the heart and surrounding structures
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture images and recordings of cardiac structures and blood flow
- Analyze images and recordings to identify abnormalities or potential issues
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret results and provide accurate diagnostic evaluations
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology related to cardiology and sonography
- In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and techniques
- Ability to use aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately analyze images for abnormalities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members
