Chemical Technologies Holding Corporation (ChemTech) is seeking an enthusiastic R&D
Technician to join our growing team. As an R&D Laboratory Technician you will be conducting
experiments for new product development and existing product improvement. You will learn
the art and science of wood protection chemistry and technology by preparing lab batches
following formula instructions, preparing samples for wood treatment, testing samples
regarding fire, mold, rot fungal, termite and dimensional stability properties, maintaining the
accompanying paperwork, and other general laboratory tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Contributes to the execution of experiments, records of observations
Make chemical solutions following instructions from supervisor
Perform wood products treatments and experiment tests under instructions
Document test and experimental results using Excel, Power Point, and/or Word
Maintain inventory of chemicals, SDS, tools and equipment in R&D Lab; label chemicals
properly
Follow company safety policies, protocols, and procedures, and ensure a safe working
environment for self and team members.
Submit purchase requisitions to order lab supplies, chemicals, and tools etc
Perform related functions as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
Qualifications
- Laboratory experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint
- Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, with a focus on molecular biology
- Familiarity with GLP, FDA regulations, and quality control processes
- Ability to conduct research and development activities effectively
- Knowledge of scientific research methods and data collection techniques
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.22 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
