Overview:
The Project Manager Lead oversees complex automation projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, technical requirements, and organizational objectives. This role drives cross‑functional coordination, manages project risks and timelines, and maintains clear communication to achieve successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Leads the full-cycle program management process for automation projects, including kickoff, planning, execution, and close out.

Review machine specifications, design feasibility, and engineering concepts to ensure customer requirements, manufacturability, and cost‑effectiveness.

Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including project folder, timelines, revisions, and approval packages.

Ensure the Open Issues list is reviewed and updated weekly to support timely resolution and communication.

Monitor long‑lead material status and oversee the timely approval of long‑lead purchase requests.

Identify launch team requirements and coordinate with internal departments for successful release of integration kit to build.

Prepare customer quotations for revisions and project changes; authorized to submit quotes up to $2,500.

Develop recommended spare-parts lists and support post-shipment follow-up activities.

Responsible for controlling and maintaining appropriate records of customer property

Identified opportunities to improve project delivery processes and organizational effectiveness

Build strong relationships with internal external stakeholders to drive project success.

Influence project strategy and execution through collaboration with senior leadership

Qualifications & Experience:
Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business preferred but not required, MBA a plus
-
8 + years’ experience in project management, engineering, or similar
-
Experience in one or more non-automotive industries: Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Healthcare, Consumer Products, or Aerospace, is required
-
PMP Certification, is a plus
Supervisory Responsibilities:
