Position Summary
The Department of Radiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a full-time pediatric interventional radiologist to contribute to clinical care, research, and teaching. The division performs a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventions. The ideal candidate should have expertise in treating various pediatric disorders, including vascular malformations, oncologic interventions, solid organ transplants, vascular access, and drainages and biopsies. This role will be based at the UNC Medical Center for the next several years. Additionally, the candidate will assist in planning vascular and interventional facilities and services for the new North Carolina Children’s Hospital, which is expected to open in the early 2030s.
The mission of UNC Children’s is to enhance the health and wellbeing of children in North Carolina, while also providing specialized services to those beyond the state. The upcoming North Carolina Children’s Hospital will be a free-standing, independent facility, serving as the hub for pediatric services from both UNC and Duke University. This state-of-the-art hospital will feature 400 inpatient beds, 100 behavioral health beds, and an ambulatory service building. Join us in planning vascular interventional services for North Carolina’s first free-standing children’s hospital.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
MD or equivalent.
