Qualifications & Experience
- Active Texas Physical Therapist (PT) license required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Understanding of pediatric development and the role of PT within elementary schools
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals
- Strong documentation skills and ability to develop individualized student goals
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive environment for students with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and consultative PT services to a caseload of 12-15 elementary students
- Assess students, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions tailored to each child’s needs
- Document services and student progress, maintaining compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting
- Offer training, resources, and support to classroom staff as needed
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
