Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, evidence-based therapies, and case management services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical documentation standards and medical terminology to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavioral health interventions tailored to client needs.
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to support clients experiencing acute emotional distress or psychiatric emergencies.
- Facilitate case management activities including patient care coordination, intake procedures, and community resource linkage to ensure holistic support for clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), substance use disorders, PTSD, or Alzheimer's care needs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including psychiatrists, medical social workers, special education professionals, and healthcare providers—to optimize patient outcomes in hospital or community settings.
- Collect data for clinical research projects related to mental health interventions or behavioral health studies while ensuring compliance with research protocols and ICD coding standards such as ICD-10 or ICD-9.
Skills
- Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Strong background working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism spectrum disorder—and diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Expertise in crisis intervention strategies and managing psychiatric patient care within hospital or community environments.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation of medical records and clinical notes; knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Ability to perform mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) tailored to individual needs.
- Excellent case management skills with a focus on patient care coordination across multiple service providers.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, clinical documentation standards, medical terminology, and medical social work principles.
