Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. Contract for a PTA -Start Date ASAP
Location - Glendale, AZ
Schedule - Flexible, but would be looking for 9-7 Mondays and Wednesdays 9-4 Thursday 6-12 Tuesday and 7-5 Friday
Pay - $40
Duties
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs, including those in inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings.
- Conduct therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to promote mobility and pain relief.
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and facility protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans that address specific conditions such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, or acute care needs.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant in inpatient or outpatient clinics is highly preferred.
- Skilled nursing facility experience or background in home health services is advantageous for this role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in handling diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.
