Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing floors to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained.
- Handle sanitation duties such as disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas to uphold health standards.
- Manage laundry responsibilities including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items.
- Conduct outdoor cleaning activities such as trash removal, window washing, and maintaining landscaped areas when required.
- Use manual handling techniques safely to lift heavy furniture or equipment during deep cleaning or moving tasks.
- Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and restock cleaning products as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
- Follow established safety protocols for heavy lifting and equipment operation to prevent injuries.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing specific cleaning requests and ensuring client satisfaction in residential or commercial settings.
- Support housekeeping management by adhering to schedules and completing tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
Skills
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely.
- Expertise in floor care techniques including carpet cleaning, polishing, and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining hygienic spaces.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the shift.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate professionally with clients or residents.
- Experience with laundry operations and housekeeping management is a plus.
- Outdoor work experience beneficial for maintaining exterior areas or landscaping tasks.
- Knowledge of hotel or custodial services can enhance your effectiveness in diverse environments.
