Overview
Cedar Creek Coffee & Art is looking for a talented and motivated craft bartender/mixologist to join our team as we open "The Lounge" at Cedar Creek Coffee & Art. Our evening bar service will include a fun menu of house craft cocktails and the ability to serve many classics. We're very excited to add someone to the team who is looking to grow in their craft bartending career and have a lot of creative freedom as our menu develops and changes!
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of craft, classic, and custom cocktails
- Prepare and serve wines and local beer offerings
- Work closely with the servers to engage with guests, tell the stories of our drinks, answer questions, and offer great suggestions.
- Maintain the bar area and service area to local health code and safety standards
- Work with our toast POS system to deliver drinks in a consistent and timely manner
- Work closely with ownership and management to craft custom cocktails to be featured on future menus, or assist in tweaking current recipes for maximum enjoyability
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels and communicating with management to make sure everything needed is ordered
- Work closely with the on shift barista/barback to prepare alcoholic coffee beverages and communicate when needs arise
- Maintain a positive environment with coworkers and guests alike
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, and spirits
- Standard knowledge or willingness to learn wine varietals and practices
- Proficiency with POS systems, Toast proficiency is a bonus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
- Experience in craft cocktail and high-end bartending environments
- Motivation and excitement to craft new recipes and interesting ideas
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures in a bar setting
- Familiarity with banquet or catering service operations is a bonus and potential future opportunity for more hours
Compensation/Benefits
- $15 an hour plus tips
