Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor to provide academic support to students in middle and high school math. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the curriculum and be able to engage with their students. Duties
- Provide instruction in subjects such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calc, Calculus
- Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Implement lesson plans in a one-on-one environment.
- Maintaining session notes and keeping time records up to date.
- Write a follow-up email to the parents after each session.
- Work directly with a mentor through the training program to learn the methodology and properly implement the lesson plans.
- Attendance, punctuality, and willingness to learn are essential to the successful performance of this job.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience: 2+ years working with children/students
- Prior teaching experience is a plus, but is not necessary for this position due to the training.
- Technological experience using: Zoom, Microsoft suite, Google Docs

- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must also be punctual and reliable
- Work as an effective team member with other faculty and non-teaching staff.
- Highly trainable
- Willing to follow a structured coaching program in the exact manner as they are trained
- Possess a growth mindset
Compensation
- $40-$50 an hour after completion of training
- Paid training ($20/hr)
Schedule:
- Part-time
- A minimum of two set days a week (Monday – Thursday)
- Minimum of six hours a week.
This is NOT seasonal employment
Work Setting:
- All work is performed on site. No traveling required.
