Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team at Prairie Senior Cottages. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals that cater to the dietary needs of our residents. Your culinary skills will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained in the kitchen.
- Plan menus that accommodate residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Collaborate with the dietary team to provide high-quality meal service.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar culinary role.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required.
