About the Company
We are looking for a true sales hunter! We are a respected commercial landscape brand seeking a Business Development Executive who thrives on building relationships from the ground up. If you identify opportunities where others see obstacles, love closing deals that create long-term value, and want to be the face of our growth, this is your stage.
About the Role
The Business Development Executive drives growth within the commercial landscaping and snow management sectors. This role is not about maintaining existing accounts. It is about finding, engaging, and winning new clients through strategic prospecting, solution-based selling, and relentless follow-up. We want someone who gets energized by competition, takes pride in pipeline discipline, and is highly motivated by results.Key Responsibilities
- Own your market: Pursue new commercial clients through proactive prospecting, networking, cold outreach, and strategic follow-ups.
- Build fast rapport: Engage property managers, facility directors, developers, and procurement professionals with confidence and credibility.
- Sell value, not price: Use a consultative approach to uncover client pain points and craft proposals that solve real operational problems.
- Maintain pipeline discipline: Log activities, leads, and opportunities in the CRM with real-time accuracy to forecast results with precision.
- Lead market penetration: Attend industry events, join trade associations, and represent the brand as a trusted advisor.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with operations and estimating teams to align proposals with service capabilities and client expectations.
- Crush your goals: Consistently meet or exceed individual sales quotas, new account targets, and margin objectives.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Outside Sales Experience: Minimum 2–3+ years of dedicated B2B outside sales experience. (Candidates with less than 2 years of sales experience will only be considered if they possess 3+ years of experience in the commercial landscaping industry beyond a crew leader role).
- Job Stability: Proven track record of career stability, typically defined as holding positions for at least 2 consecutive years per role (excluding documented internal promotions).
- Track Record: Proven record of exceeding quota through disciplined prospecting, consultative selling, and closing.
- Sales Style: Demonstrated ability to sell intangible services through value and outcomes, not price alone.
- Communication: Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Acumen: Strong business acumen and negotiation ability to engage decision-makers from property managers to executives.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
