Loan Officer Assistant
Full-Time | Hybrid | $40,000–$50,000 + Commission
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, organized, positive, and people-focused Loan Officer Assistant to join our growing mortgage team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organized, helping clients, communicating with people, and being an essential part of a team. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership, follows through, is comfortable on the phone, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This is intended to be a long-term Loan Officer Assistant position. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our company, become an expert in the role, and be a key part of our continued growth—not someone who is simply looking for a stepping stone to become a Loan Officer.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Loan Officer with day-to-day loan production and client communication
- Communicate with borrowers, Realtors, lenders, title companies, and other partners
- Answer and make phone calls and provide timely follow-up
- Collect, organize, and follow up on loan documentation
- Monitor deadlines and ensure important tasks are completed on time
- Help keep loan files organized and moving forward
- Communicate updates and next steps to clients
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process
- Identify potential issues and communicate them proactively
- Help keep the Loan Officer organized and focused on production
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow through without constant reminders

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in mortgage, lending, real estate, banking, or a customer-service/administrative role is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred
- Comfortable communicating with clients by phone, email, and in person
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Ability to learn mortgage systems, processes, and terminology quickly
- Previous experience handling confidential or sensitive information is a plus

Compensation & Schedule
- $40,000–$50,000 annual base salary, depending on experience
