Duties
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients according to menu specifications
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring quality, presentation, and timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Support dishwashing duties by cleaning dishes, cookware, and kitchen tools efficiently
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Help with menu planning and ingredient inventory management to streamline kitchen operations
- Serve food to customers or assist in catering events as needed to enhance guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
- Hands-on culinary experience in restaurant or food industry settings demonstrates strong food preparation skills
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques is essential
- Basic knife skills and meal preparation knowledge are preferred for cooking responsibilities
- Experience in catering or serving can be an asset for supporting diverse service environments
