Job Overview
Small family owned company is looking for a full-time, skilled Heavy Equipment Operator. Specifically someone proficient in finish grading with a dozer.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently operate heavy equipment including dozers, wheel loaders, backhoes, excavators, skid loaders, haul trucks, rollers, etc. in a high production environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance; perform basic maintenance as needed.
- Maintain accurate daily records of equipment usage, maintenance logs, and operational reports.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass background checks/child abuse history clearance.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a heavy equipment operator.
- Knowledge of underground utility installation.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance.
- Complete daily equipment logs.
- Must have a valid drivers license. Having a CDL is a plus.
- Knowledge of Topcon GPS systems is a plus.
- Snow removal.
Physical Ability Requirements & Work Environment:
- Physical ability to operate machinery for extended periods.
- Perform manual tasks when necessary.
- Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing.
- Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, bending, and crouching.
- Must be able to lift/carry at least 50 pounds.
- The work is performed outdoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
