Position: CNC MACH INE O PERAT OR Department: PRODUCTION
Reports To: S H O P F O R E M A N Shift: FIRST AND SECOND
Responsibility and Authority:
- Can follow instructions and work efficiently and effectively with supervision.
- Can operate production equipment.
- Able to check parts using micrometers and calipers.
- An understanding of how to read drawings, product requirements on the traveler, and know where
critical characteristics are.
- Able to record measurements taken using micrometers and calipers.
- Able to deburr parts while machine is running.
- Responsible for daily maintenance on production equipment, maintaining a clean working environment,
ensuring that Foreign Objects are not mixed with conforming parts.
- Responsible for following all procedures for production department and how to conduct in-process
inspection of parts, and identifying and segregating non-conforming product.
- Can do light tool sharpening if operator has been trained
- Inherits all Responsibilities & Authorities of Subordinates
Requirements:
- Degree or Certificate in Machining Technology or related discipline preferred
- Capable interpreting drawings per ASME Y14.5M-1194 & GD&T a big plus!!!
- Ability to run multiple machines
- Prolong standing for duration of shift
- Must be able to lift parts max 50 lbs
- Experience preferred
