McKnight Steel & Tube Co., a well-established metal service center serving the regional manufacturing and metalworking marketplace, is seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team.

Position Overview
This role will split time between:
- Local CDL deliveries (flatbed straight truck)
- Warehouse operations and order processing
Pay
- $26.00 per hour
- Overtime available
Schedule
- Full-time (40–50 hours/week)
- Typical warehouse hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Delivery days: Early start times (generally 5:00–5:30 AM) depending on route
- Local, same-day routes (home daily)
Delivery Responsibilities
- Safely operate company Freightliner M2, 33,000 GVW, 26’ stake body flatbed trucks (automatic)
- Deliver steel and metal products to customers throughout the region
- Ensure all loads are properly secured (strapping/chaining) and compliant with DOT regulations
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules
- Provide professional, courteous customer service
- Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and on time
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Warehouse Responsibilities
- Pick and process customer orders from inventory and incoming shipments
- Load trucks for daily deliveries
- Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and cut-to-length saws (training provided)
- Maintain inventory accuracy and organization
- Prepare delivery paperwork for drivers
- Support general warehouse activities as needed
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A or B license
- Delivery driving experience preferred
- Ability to safely handle and secure flatbed loads (or willingness to learn)
- Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or wholesale distribution preferred
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment
- Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- High School diploma or GED required
