Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team and support our clients' IT landscape. This is a client facing role responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing identity, endpoint management, Microsoft 365, virtualization, networking, and cloud solutions for small, midsize, and enterprise customers. The engineer serves as a technical lead on complex projects, delivering secure, scalable, and well-documented solutions while providing expert consulting and knowledge transfer to client stakeholders.
Required Technical Skillset
The Systems Engineer must possess strong experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Identity & Access Management
- Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP administration, including domain and forest architecture, Group Policy, security policies, schema management, and Sites & Services.
- Enterprise identity platforms including Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace.
- Authentication and authorization technologies including SSO, SAML, OpenID Connect (OIDC), RADIUS, and Microsoft NPS.
- Application integrations, enterprise application management, provisioning, and lifecycle management.
- Conditional Access, Context-Aware Access, and Zero Trust security architectures.
Core Infrastructure Services
- Design, deployment, and management of DNS and DHCP services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Experience with Active Directory-integrated DNS, BIND-based DNS, cloud DNS services, and IP address management (IPAM).
- Administration of Windows Server environments hosted on physical, virtualized, and cloud infrastructure.
Networking
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking principles, including:
- VLANs and subnetting
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching
- Routing
- VPN technologies
- Secure remote access
- Zero Trust networking concepts
Endpoint Management & Device Deployment
- Modern endpoint deployment and lifecycle management using Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, MDT, and WDS.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
- Operating system deployment technologies including PXE, WinPE, BIOS/UEFI, and image management.
- Application packaging, deployment, upgrades, and remediation using MSI, EXE, and scripted installations.
- Endpoint configuration management, compliance policies, security baselines, application control, and desired state configuration.
Microsoft 365 & Collaboration Platforms
- Administration and implementation of Microsoft cloud services, including:
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Exchange Online
- Microsoft Teams
- SharePoint Online
- Experience supporting hybrid Microsoft 365 environments and cloud migration initiatives.
Virtualization, Cloud & VDI
- Deployment and administration of virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and Lifecycle Manager.
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and Omnissa Horizon environments.
- Support of Windows Server workloads hosted in VMware, Microsoft Azure, and AWS environments.
- Design and support of virtual desktop and cloud-hosted infrastructure solutions.
Automation & Administrative Tools
- Proficiency in both graphical and command-line administration methodologies.
- Experience utilizing PowerShell, scripting, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
- Ability to automate system administration, provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
