Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Middle School Teacher to inspire and educate students during this stage of their academic journey. In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans for use in online and hybrid formats, foster a positive classroom environment in line with the Joy-at-Work culture, and support diverse learning needs. Your expertise will help students develop essential skills in core subjects such as Math, Literacy, Social Studies and Science while promoting social-emotional growth. You will also be responsible for monitoring hybrid classrooms.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with educational standards, incorporating instructional design and assessment-driven instruction techniques.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize lessons, track student progress, and facilitate communication with students and parents.
- Deliver engaging lessons across multiple subjects, including Math, Literacy, Social Studies, and Science, ensuring differentiation for students with diverse needs.
- Monitor hybrid classrooms, ensuring students stay on-task. Manage classroom behavior effectively through conflict management strategies and behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Conduct student assessments regularly to evaluate academic progress using quantitative analysis of student performance data; adjust instruction accordingly.
- Support students with special education needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and working closely with special education professionals.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, childhood development, Montessori methods, literacy education, and physical education instruction.
Qualifications
- Teacher certification with at least a Bachelor's degree.
- Proven classroom experience teaching middle school students (grades 6 to 8) or similar age groups; middle school teaching experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development for online and hybrid use, assessment strategies, and educational compliance regulations.
- Background in teaching math or literacy education; experience in instructional design for young learners is preferred.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs; familiarity with early childhood education principles is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze student performance data for evaluation purposes and to implement targeted academic interventions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students’ families.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior proactively while fostering an inclusive environment that supports social-emotional development.
