Forklift Operator – Heavy Industrial Equipment

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Gulfstream Container is seeking an experienced Heavy Industrial Forklift Operator to join our Miami manufacturing facility. This is not a standard warehouse forklift position. Our operators handle large generator enclosures, steel components, fuel tanks, and other oversized fabricated equipment using high-capacity forklifts in an active manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate large-capacity industrial forklifts to move heavy steel fabrications, generator enclosures, fuel tanks, and related equipment.
- Load and unload flatbed trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials between production departments and storage areas.
- Assist with staging completed products for shipment.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and Gulfstream safety procedures.
- Work closely with production personnel to keep manufacturing operations moving efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating large-capacity industrial forklifts.
- Experience handling oversized or heavy fabricated equipment is strongly preferred.
- Ability to safely maneuver large loads in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of load balancing, rigging awareness, and forklift safety.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Forklift certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain certification if required).
