Sirius Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Whitsett, NC.
Schedule: 6:30am-3:00pm Mon-Fri Some weekends
This position is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and optimizing server test environments and manufacturing test equipment to ensure efficient production, high product quality, and reliable test operations. The role works closely with Engineering, Quality, IT, and Operations to support manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain manufacturing test network environments, including switches, PXE boot systems, and rack cabling.
- Install, configure, and support L1/L2 test servers used for automated and manual server validation.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing test infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Document technical issues, corrective actions, and resolution tracking.
- Procure, install, maintain, and calibrate manufacturing test equipment, including HiPot testers, racks, and diagnostic tools.
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper operation of production test equipment.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, IT, and Logistics teams to support manufacturing operations.
- Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements to manufacturing test infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.
- Train technicians and team members on test equipment, manufacturing procedures, and safety practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting server hardware testing or manufacturing test environments.
- Experience configuring and maintaining server test infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Linux system administration experience.
- Knowledge of network configuration, including DHCP, FTP, SSH, and PXE boot environments.
- Experience with Python or Bash scripting.
- Familiarity with manufacturing test platforms such as UTP.
- Experience with server validation processes, including AVT, Burn-In, and FVT.
- Knowledge of L1/L2 server architecture.
- Experience with test data analysis and benchmarking tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with cross-functional teams.
