Summary
This position performs maintenance work of routine difficulty under limited supervision. This position conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance. This position is also responsible for building and grounds related tasks. The position is expected to work directly with vendors and contractors. Work is to be conducted in a safe manner and the ability to recognize unsafe situations is necessary. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Essential Functions

1. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment in a timely manner.
2. Performs scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance of production equipment.
3. Utilizes mechanical skills including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and basic electrical.
4. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders.
5. Complies with established safety policies and procedures including Lockout-Tagout, Arc Flash, Confined Space, Scissor Lift and Forklift Operation.
6. Performs routine maintenance on buildings, grounds, and related building systems.
7. Contacts and schedules vendors and contractors for necessary repairs that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.
8. Maintains machine and equipment schedules.
9. Maintains maintenance shop and supplies.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position operates primarily in a manufacturing environment. The routine use of standard tools such hand tools, powered tools, drills, saws, grinders, welders. The operation of aerials, scissor lifts and fork lifts will occasionally be required.
There will be regular exposure to machine noise, fumes/vapors associated with manufacturing coatings, maintenance related chemicals such as parts-cleaning fluids, oils, greases and aerosols, and wood dust from manufacturing processes. There will also be frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing throughout day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will occasionally be required to perform work at heights.
