Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting and drainage troubleshooting.
- Utilize tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical components and mechanical parts.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting all work performed for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems; construction or mechanical experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration, and plumbing fundamentals.
- Familiarity with field service operations involving appliance repair, equipment troubleshooting, welding, boiler maintenance, and property upkeep.
- Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and work with various tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R systems combined with practical experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred for transportation needs.
- Additional skills in welding, ammonia refrigeration handling, mechanical diagnostics, and electrical troubleshooting are advantageous. Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
