Overview
As a Kitchen & Food Truck Member, you’ll split your time between our commissary kitchen and food truck. In the kitchen, you’ll help with dough production, packaging, prep, cleaning, and keeping things organized. On the truck, you’ll help with stretching and topping pizzas, taking orders, running the POS, and keeping service moving smoothly. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, works well with others, and takes pride in keeping a clean and safe workspace. No two days are exactly the same, and we’re looking for someone who is willing to learn and pitch in wherever needed.
Duties
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and food prep tools.
- Manage customer orders using POS systems when needed, accurately processing transactions and handling cash or card payments.
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling additional items to enhance their experience and increase sales.
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to sanitation and food safety protocols; regularly sanitize surfaces and store ingredients properly.
- Support food truck operations by setting up service stations, restocking supplies, and ensuring quick turnaround times during busy periods.
- Handle retail sales transactions confidently while providing friendly customer service that encourages repeat visits.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food handling, or working in quick service or fast-food restaurants.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods while maintaining quality standards.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items and create a positive dining experience.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitation, proper food storage, and handling procedures.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations.
