Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with behavioral needs in various settings such as homes, day care, and community.
- Implement behavior plans and interventions as directed by the supervising behavior analyst.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Monitor and document individual progress and behaviors, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising behavior analyst.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide leadership and guidance to direct care staff in managing challenging behaviors.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals under your care.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care and experience working with individuals with cognitive impairments is a plus.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors and implement behavior support plans effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
