We are looking to hire an experienced Tax Reviewer / Tax Manager to join our growing CPA firm.
Position: Tax Reviewer / Tax Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced tax professional with strong technical knowledge and prior review experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing complex tax returns, mentoring staff, identifying tax planning opportunities, and ensuring high-quality, accurate work is delivered to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review complex individual, business, trust, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Research and resolve complex federal, state, and international tax issues.
- Assist with tax planning and consulting projects for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and information requests.
- Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and firm quality standards.
- Mentor and train junior staff.
Qualifications
- CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing CPA with significant experience).
- 9+ years of public accounting tax experience.
- Prior experience reviewing tax returns in a CPA firm.
- Strong experience with:
- Individual (Form 1040) tax returns
- Partnerships (Form 1065)
- S Corporations (Form 1120-S)
- C Corporations (Form 1120)
- Trusts and estates (Forms 1041 and related filings)
- Experience with international tax matters is a plus, including reporting related to foreign assets, foreign corporations, foreign partnerships, expatriates, and cross-border tax issues.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- High-net-worth individual taxation, Partnerships, Corporations and Trusts.
- Multi-state taxation.
- International tax compliance and reporting a plus.
- Tax research and planning.
- Experience with tax preparation and review software used by public accounting firms.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
