Uptown Life Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Baker to join our growing restaurant group. This role is ideal for a professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, consistency, and high-quality baked goods in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment.
Position Overview
We are looking for a full-time Baker responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods used across our restaurant concepts. The ideal candidate has strong technical baking skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a professional kitchen or bakery setting. Experience in either bread and dough production or cake preparation and decorating is highly valued, with the ability to contribute across multiple areas preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute a variety of baked goods (bread, doughs, pastries, cakes, etc.)
- Produce breads, doughs, and pastry items, and/or cakes, fillings, frostings, and decorated desserts depending on skill set
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards across all items
- Follow recipes and production schedules with precision
- Manage preparation processes including mixing, proofing, baking, assembling, decorating, and finishing
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at all times
- Work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Previous baking experience required
- Experience in a professional kitchen or bakery preferred
- Strong understanding of baking techniques and ingredient function
- Experience in bread/dough production and/or cake preparation and decorating strongly preferred
- Ability to follow recipes with accuracy and consistency
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work early mornings and/or flexible shifts as needed
