Help us create exceptional care... one patient, one task, and one clean space at a time.
At Idaho Veterinary Hospital, we believe every role matters. While our doctors diagnose and our technicians provide medical care, our Patient Care team keeps everything moving behind the scenes. From caring for hospitalized pets to creating a clean, safe environment, you'll play an essential role in helping our entire hospital provide outstanding veterinary medicine.
If you're someone who loves staying busy, notices the little things before anyone else does, and takes pride in making everything around you better, we'd love to meet you.
We're an AAHA Accredited Hospital, practicing Fear Free Certified handling in Nampa, Idaho and have proudly served our community for more than 60 years. Our team of nine veterinarians provide advanced medical and surgical care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets in a fast-paced, compassionate environment where teamwork, kindness, and a "How can I help?" attitude are part of our everyday culture.
What You'll Do
No two days are exactly the same. You'll help our hospital run smoothly by:
- Caring for hospitalized patients, including walking, feeding, and monitoring their comfort
- Assisting doctors and technicians by safely restraining patients for procedures such as blood draws, nail trims, radiographs, ultrasounds, and more
- Cleaning and preparing treatment areas, exam rooms, kennels, and outdoor spaces
- Laundry (yes... lots of laundry!)
- Stocking supplies and receiving inventory
- Helping maintain a clean, organized, safe hospital environment
- Jumping in wherever you're needed to support the team
You Might Be the Perfect Fit If You...
- Love staying busy and rarely stand still
- Notice what needs to be done without waiting to be asked
- Take pride in keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly
- Have a positive attitude and enjoy helping others succeed
- Are dependable and show up ready to work
- Have excellent time management skills
- Pay attention to the little details because you know they matter
- Are always looking for ways to improve things
No veterinary experience? That's okay!
We're happy to train someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and desire to learn.
This Position Is Physically Active
You'll spend most of your day on your feet, lifting pets and inventory, moving throughout the hospital, and working in all areas of veterinary medicine. You'll also need to be comfortable around blood, urine, feces, vomit, surgery, and all the other "less glamorous" parts of helping animals.
If that doesn't scare you, we're off to a great start.
