This contract position is based on-site at two elementary schools, with a .6 FTE assignment at one and a .4 FTE assignment at another, covering the academic period from August 25 to June 11, 2027. Qualifications and Experience:
- Current MI licensure required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in schools or pediatrics preferred
- Skilled in SLP assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for school-aged children
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to assigned elementary school students
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and document student progress
- Implement evidence-based practices and individualized interventions within a school setting
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff collaborations as needed
- Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment
