The Craftperson - PAB Maintenance is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal operational downtime. This role applies advanced technical knowledge across multiple skilled trades—including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance—to troubleshoot issues, execute repairs, and implement system improvements that enhance efficiency and reliability.
Working under general supervision, the Craftperson - PAB Maintenance routinely inspects equipment, identifies potential failures, and takes proactive measures to prevent disruptions. This role may also provide guidance, training, and oversight to junior team members / op-techs, ensuring work is completed in alignment with established standards, policies, and performance targets. The position requires collaboration with internal teams, supervisors, and external contractors or vendors.
Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and proficiency in interpreting schematics and construction drawings, while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations and company procedures. The Craftperson - Facilities is also responsible for accurately documenting maintenance activities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the facilities operation.
