The Server/Barista plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service and enhancing the overall guest experience at our bustling Hawaiian coffee farm restaurant. This multifaceted role requires a blend of hospitality, coffee expertise, and teamwork to ensure guests receive top-notch service and delicious beverages and food in a vibrant and welcoming environment. $35.00-$40.00/hr with Tips is the expected pay. The applicant must be able to both barista and serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Barista Duties
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages according to restaurant standards
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and related equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain beverage quality, consistency, and presentation
- Keep barista station clean, stocked, and organized
- Monitor inventory of coffee, syrups, milk, and supplies
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Server Duties
- Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming dining experience
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and make food and beverage recommendations
- Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS system
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Check on guests throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction
- Handle guest payments and process transactions accurately
- Clear and reset tables in accordance with restaurant standards
General Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens
- Comply with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
- Uphold the restaurant’s standards for service, cleanliness, and professionalism
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista and server
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods
- Must be at least the minimum age required to serve alcohol
