American Traveler is hiring a Nursing Director for Residential Living in a long-term care setting, requiring a BSN, current RN license, and prior nursing management experience.

Long-term care unit providing skilled nursing and short-term transitional care
-
Day shift schedule, ideally Monday through Friday 8am-5pm with some flexibility

40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week

Requires availability to work the floor and provide on-call/after-hours coverage

Uses Epic for charting

Active RN license (Standard or Compact) in the state of practice, with compact licenses required to transfer within 60 days of hire

BLS certification required, must not expire prior to start date

BSN from an accredited institution required

Three years of management experience required
-
Two years of clinical experience required
-
One year of experience in the specialty being submitted for required

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and financial acumen skills required
-
Experience in resource management, patient safety, mentorship, and community outreach required
-
DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Provides leadership and operational direction for the Residential Living long-term care community
-
Partners with the Chief Nursing Officer and other leadership to ensure optimal patient care and financial goals

Manages annual capital, operating, and personnel budgets for the unit
-
Oversees staffing, hiring, orientation, retention, and employee satisfaction
-
Monitors patient satisfaction metrics and implements action plans to improve outcomes
-
Partners with physicians to achieve clinical, operational, and service goals
-
Ensures compliance with patient safety initiatives and regulatory standards such as Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, and DOPL
-
Evaluates staff competency through performance and peer reviews
-
Serves as a role model for professionalism and employee engagement
-
Direct reports included as part of this leadership role
