Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate standing forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload materials from delivery trucks.
- Perform order picking using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Manage shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all materials are accounted for and properly stored.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Assist in heavy lifting and materials handling as needed throughout the warehouse.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
- Follow all safety protocols while operating heavy equipment and handling materials.
- Load railcars with correct product for correlating customer
- Load and unload trucks in a timely and safe manner
- Put loads away in correct location
- Show proper respect and professionalism for truck drivers
- Pull orders and locate inbounds
- Data entry into Magic of received and shipped loads
- Maintain quality measures (no damaged products)
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution and operations.
- Familiarity with order picking processes, including experience with <PERSON> pickers.
- Ability to operate a warehouse management system effectively.
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures is highly desirable.
- Competence in performing heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
