Duties
- Prepare sites for concrete pouring, ensuring proper alignment and leveling.
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment for mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete.
- Finish surfaces using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to ensure proper installation of forms and reinforcements.
- Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in the operation of concrete pumping equipment when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in construction.
- Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and materials.
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment related to concrete work.
- Ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
- Must have a clear driving record and valid driver's license. Commercial driving experience is advantageous for transporting materials as needed.
- Strong work ethic with a desire to succeed
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to learn system for job cost management
- Make purchases, track expenses, and apply to the appropriate P.O. at the Foreman’s request
- Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring/safety issues
- Strictly abides by all company safety standards and policies
- Other duties assigned by Foreman
