Job Title: Lead Budtender / Key Holder
Pay: $21.00 per hour, plus tips

Crystal Leaves is a new, locally owned cannabis store opening in north Spokane. We're hiring our opening team now.
This is a working floor position. Your primary role is serving customers at the counter, with added key holder duties. This is not a management position — schedules, discipline, and hiring are handled by the Store Manager.
Responsibilities
- Serve customers at the counter — the majority of your working time
- Verify ID for every customer, every visit
- Open and close the store following established procedures
- Handle cash procedures including drawer counts, cash drops, and safe access
- Serve as the go-to person on shift for product and policy questions
- Help new budtenders learn products and procedures
- Handle escalated customer questions and know when to call the Store Manager
- Follow all state cannabis regulations and store procedures
- Assist with inventory counts, receiving, and stocking

Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be 21 or older (required by state law)
- Cannabis retail experience strongly preferred
- Experience opening and closing a retail store
- Accurate cash handling
- Highly reliable — this role is trusted with keys and the safe
- Good judgment on compliance decisions
- Available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- Background Check: Candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive background check prior to employment.
On-Duty Cannabis Policy
- Zero Tolerance On-Duty Consumption: To ensure safety, full compliance with state law, and accurate product handling, consuming cannabis products in any form before or during your shift is strictly prohibited.
Schedule
Store hours are 8:00 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. This role includes opening and closing shifts plus a rotation of evenings and weekends.
