American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with a minimum of 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience for an evening shift contract at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center.

Works in the X-Ray department of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
-
Covers ED, inpatient, portables, and OR settings
-
Must be willing to work with pediatric and neonatal patients

Uses GE, Philips, and CareStream equipment
-
EMR: Epic and Sectra (experience preferred)

5x8 hour evening shifts, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

May float to other departments as needed

Block scheduling is generally not approved

Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2–3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility

Experience in high-volume, high-acuity hospital environments with diverse and complex cases

Current BLS and ARRT certification required

Graduated from a JRCERT/ARRT-accredited radiologic technology program

Proficiency with radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment operation

Active state license required if applicable

This is a high-acuity trauma center that manages complex, fast-paced, and high-volume cases — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals are not a strong fit for this role

Will work alongside radiology students and perform competency check-offs

Mask fit test is required prior to starting
