Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Load and unload box truck using manual handling techniques
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards
- Load, secure, and unload freight on flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or tanker trucks as required
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery documentation, and compliance records for each trip
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type (e.g., Class A or B)
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery driver experience
- Skilled in manual transmission operation and manual handling techniques
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning and adjustments
- Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight security and safety
- Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment like moving straps and capable of lifting heavy items safely

Pay: $140.00 - $170.00 per day
