Duties
- Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist servers by bussing tables promptly, clearing plates, and resetting tables for new guests to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of dish racks, crates, and supplies with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen and dining space through regular cleaning routines, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Support food handling and basic food preparation activities when needed, adhering to food safety management protocols.
- Follow proper knife skills for safe handling of cutlery during cleaning or minor prep tasks.
- Collaborate with team members during catering or banquet events to ensure timely setup and breakdown while maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling practices.
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments with a focus on dishwashing, bussing, or food service roles.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and repetitive motions.
- Familiarity with food safety management systems and sanitation standards required in kitchens and dining areas.
- Excellent cleaning skills with attention to detail to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Basic culinary or kitchen experience is a plus, including knife skills and food preparation techniques.
- Previous banquet or catering experience is advantageous for supporting large-scale events.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.
