Vesta Foodservice is seeking energetic, experienced, self-motivated individuals as FULL-TIME ROUTE DRIVER with a CLASS D driver license for our distribution facility in Phoenix (Central/South).
Route Drivers are involved in servicing restaurants, caterers, hotels, resorts and other customers.
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Truck Delivery Driver Class D to join our team. This role involves local route driving, delivering goods to customers, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, delivery routes, and operating box trucks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries along designated routes
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods to customers’ locations
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with product placement and addressing customer inquiries
- Verify delivery paperwork and obtain signatures as needed
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and delivery equipment
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during route driving
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
Requirements
All Applicants must:
- Valid CLASS D driver’s license with a clean driving record past 3 years
- Have no more than 1 ticket or accident in the last 3 years
- Not have any DUI's (Driving Under Influence)
- Have at least 3 years driving experience
- Have 3 years commercial driving experience
- Complete Road Test that is required prior to employment
- Be flexible to report to work at an early time
- Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Experience with route driving, load & unload procedures, and heavy lifting tasks
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and warehouse work
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adhere to schedules
- Physical capability to lift heavy items and perform moving tasks as needed
