Drafter /Designer : Hudson , WI
Our customer in Hudson , Wisconsin is seeking dependable individuals to join their team. They are seeking motivated individuals who can contribute to the overall success of the company as a Drafter/Designer on 1 st Shift.
Responsibilities of the Drafter /Designer :
- Create drawings using SolidWorks software and produce mechanical drawings from 2D & 3D drawings.
- Prepare detailed drawings of intricate design components or units from layout drawings.
- Construct prototypes and confirm designs with Design/Purchasing team.
- Research materials required for projects.
- Prepare bill of materials, shop drawings and programming for flame cut parts.
- Prepare job packets for all production departments.
- Organize and maintain existing design records.
- Calculate dimensions and specify standard allowances when not stated.
Drafter /Designer Requirements and Qualifications:
- College, technical school, or 3-6 months related experience preferred
- Must be proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
- Ability to read blueprints preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required
- Intermediate mathematical skills required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills required
- Metal fabrication, welding or machine shop background preferred
