Duties
- Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness throughout the day
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to foster respectful interactions
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate daily updates on children’s progress and needs
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards including first aid protocols
- Basic Care: Providers handle feeding, diapering, bathing, and ensuring infants get adequate sleep. They follow structured routines for meals, naps, and playtime to support healthy development. - Developmental Support: Infant caregivers engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and motor skills. This includes reading, singing, sensory play, arts and crafts, and guided exploration. They observe and assess developmental milestones and adjust activities to meet individual needs.
- Emotional Nurturing: Providers offer comfort, reassurance, and positive interactions to help infants develop trust and emotional security. They respond to crying, provide gentle guidance, and foster a nurturing environment
- Communication: Caregivers maintain accurate records of daily activities, feeding, sleep, and behavior, and communicate any concerns or notable changes to parents. This ensures continuity of care and supports parental involvement.
- Administrative and Professional Duties: Follow curriculum guidelines, and coordinate with other caregivers you must also stay informed about best practices in early childhood development.
- Qualifications: Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children effectively
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Passion for nurturing young learners and supporting their growth through teaching and caregiving activities
- Ability to remain energetic, patient, attentive, and adaptable in a dynamic childcare environment
