Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating skid steer loaders and other construction machinery to facilitate excavation, grading, material handling, and site preparation activities. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and precise execution of various construction projects while adhering to all safety regulations and equipment protocols. Duties
- Operate skid steer loaders to perform excavation, grading, loading, and site cleanup tasks. Mini Excavator experience is desired.
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with federal construction safety regulations.
- Assist with construction utility work including grading, back filling, rough grading, trenching, and installation support for water lines, tanks, or underground utilities.
- Follow all equipment safety procedures and safety regulations while working on active construction sites to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Support construction grading activities by leveling terrain accurately for paving or foundation work.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently across multiple machinery types and project phases.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and safety checks in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating skid steer loaders (Takeuchi brand, specifically) in a construction environment with a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation standards.
- Knowledge of construction machinery maintenance routines and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential.
- Construction site experience including excavation, grading, utility work, and general construction activities.
- Mechanical knowledge related to loader operation and excavator handling.
- Ability to perform commercial driving duties using commercial trucks and trailers.
- Strong understanding of construction utility locating methods and safety protocols for working around underground utilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a focus on safety at all times.
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
