HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
This is a full-time position. A Commercial Vehicle Painter is responsible for prepping, sanding, and painting Dejana trucks and vans.
Prime, paint, and touchup vehicles with power spray equipment and brushes
Mix all types of paints for proper color, formula, conditions, viscosity, and consistency
Perform titrations and mix or adjust chemicals as necessary in paint, or other processes
Sand, wash, and condition parts as necessary. Light bodywork may be required
Inspect product before, during, after paint process to ensure specifications are being met.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1-3 years’ experience in the painting of automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop is a plus.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Capability to be detail oriented and organized.
- Capability to be self-motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Position requires standing on hard surface, with a substantial amount of pushing, pulling and lifting.
- Position requires ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Position requires moderately difficult, manipulative and hand-eye coordination skills
- Position requires seeing objects closely.
- Position requires the ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 20 to 45 minutes at a time.
- This job is indoors in a traditional manufacturing/warehouse setting. Activities will include both sitting and standing. These activities will occur in the production areas and inside paint booths.
- There may be exposure to hazardous fumes from paint and paint-mixing ingredients.
- There will be varying temperatures between different areas, up to 100 degrees at times.
- There will be normal manufacturing sounds with some background noise.
