We are seeking a motivated Field Engineer / Construction Management Associate to join our growing North Carolina team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a long-term career in construction management, project management, and infrastructure rehabilitation.

What You'll Do
In this role, you'll partner closely with experienced Project Managers and field operations teams to support municipal infrastructure projects throughout the Fayetteville and Fort Bragg areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with project startup, execution, and closeout activities.
- Conduct pre-bid site visits and project assessments.
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
- Track project costs, production quantities, and project performance metrics.
- Prepare and manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change requests, and project correspondence.
- Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
- Support scheduling activities and project planning efforts.
- Assist with material procurement and subcontractor management.
- Participate in project status meetings with customers and internal teams.
- Maintain project records, reports, spreadsheets, and financial tracking tools.
- Visit project sites to support construction operations and ensure project success.
- Develop strong working relationships with municipal customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
We're looking for individuals who are eager to learn, highly organized, and excited to grow their careers.
Preferred backgrounds include:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with construction, utility, municipal, or infrastructure-related internships or work experience are highly preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional email and phone communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Relationship-oriented with strong customer service skills.
- Experience with Primavera, JD Edwards, Bluebeam, or similar construction software is a plus.
Work Environment & Travel
- Candidates should reside within the greater Raleigh, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Sanford, or Asheboro markets.
- Primary project support will be focused in the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg area.
- Approximately 10-20% travel, including occasional overnight stays.
- Mileage reimbursement provided when personal vehicles are used for business purposes.
- Occasional travel to the Charlotte/Indian Trail office for meetings and training.
