Position Summary
The Mixing Operator operates and monitors all departmental mixing and processing equipment, including mixers. The Mixing Operator oversees production processes to blend raw ingredients into specified compounds, ensuring efficiency, product quality, and compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate computerized systems to maintain recipe integrity and production accuracy.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and report to work on time.
- Work effectively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Demonstrate understanding and compliance with all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and GMP requirements.
- Safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Keep work areas, equipment, and tools clean and organized.
- Assist with product changeovers as required.
- Safely operate hoists and electric pallet jacks.
- Demonstrate initiative, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn new tasks.
- Apply basic reading, comprehension, and mathematical skills in daily operations.
- Load ingredients according to production formulas and work instructions.
- Operate mixers and related processing equipment.
- Pull product samples for quality verification and load finished product into bulk bags.
- Verify production tickets and batch documentation for accuracy.
- Box, package, and label finished products according to specifications.
- Check and verify ingredients and blends for correct appearance, identity, and weight.
- Complete production reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow established mixing procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of ingredient codes and product identification systems.
- Complete assigned duties safely, efficiently, and within established timelines.
- Set up and operate sifters as required.
- Enter production and quality data accurately into company systems.
- Adhere to all company quality, food safety, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications / Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or related field preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately.
- Ability to complete production records, logs, and other required documentation accurately.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following all safety, OSHA, GMP, and company policies and procedures.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/warehouse setting with exposure to moving equipment, noise, dust particles and varying temperatures.
- Use of PPE required (e.g. safety shoes, glasses, gloves).

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $19.00 - $22.35 - $25.70
