Job Title: Laboratory Assistant
Job Location: Elk River, MN 55330
Job Type: Contract - 6 Months
Job Duties:
- Receiving, labeling, and preparing samples for testing, including diluting, filtering, or centrifuging as required
- Conducting a limited variety of routine laboratory tests following detailed, well-defined procedures
- Operating, cleaning, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment
- Recording and organizing test data and results accurately in specified formats
- Assisting senior lab staff by providing technical support and performing assigned duties under close observation
- Maintaining laboratory cleanliness and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and guidelines
- Preparing reagents, stains, chemical solutions, and media according to instructions
- Participating in quality control checks on equipment and materials
- Ordering and managing laboratory supplies and inventory
- Following strict safety and chemical hygiene plans
- Potentially assisting with specimen collection and slide preparation for microscopic examination
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year of experience as Laboratory Technician/Chemist or Microbiologist
- Nice to have experience in titration’ calibration and sterile techniques
- Must have completed coursework in science or hold an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Travel Required - Only local people near 20 miles of Elk River, MN 55330
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Occasionally Saturdays 1/2 days (once per month on average).
- Usually starts around 7 am on Saturdays and done around 10:00 AM.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
