JOB PROFILE
Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in repairing, maintaining, and modifying motor vehicles. Consults with and advises customers of services needed to their vehicle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Plans and schedules departmental activities to repair customer vehicles.
Addresses and reviews customer concerns about vehicle malfunctions and customer maintenance needs for their vehicle via in person, phone call, text, or email.
Prepares estimates and identifies cost for repair and service to customer vehicles.
Maintains customer satisfaction index rating that is consistently higher than average standards.
Greets customers in a timely and friendly manner. Acknowledge customers who are waiting in line, letting them know they will be helped soon.
Schedules appointments, obtains customer and vehicle data, communicates with customers to determine nature of repair or maintenance needed and sets proper expectations with customers.
Dispatches work.
Verifies warranty work.
Verifies technician time on clock, ensure technician findings for repair are inputted and assists in obtaining parts for technician.
Checks service history of customer vehicles.
Ensures repair order contains all Dealer and Manufacture requirements including but not limited: details of repairs containing the customer concern, cause and correction.
Obtains legible signature from customer to authorize repair.
Keeps customers informed of repair time, any delays, any additional work and additional costs.
Handles telephone inquiries regarding work in process and other customer calls.
Test-drives vehicles or have technician test drive for quality control.
Be responsible for quality control, to ensure that work is completed as requested and to reduce comebacks.
Inspects overall condition of vehicles at check in.
Advises customers on maintaining vehicles in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
Provides estimates for labor and parts.
Requires being ready to work on time and have satisfactory attendance.
Any other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS

Individual must have basic computer knowledge, ability to work well with others, neat and clean appearance, good math skills, general mechanical skills, positive attitude and be able to listen and follow directions. Individual should be self-motivated and a self-starter, read and comprehend instructions and information, be able to work weekends and overtime. Individual should be honest, ethical, dependable and a team player.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school Diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 or more years of related experience and/or training.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND CLEAN DRIVING RECORD!
