Employees at ECR Services work in a group home setting with individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental health, and autism. We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional to provide vital assistance and care to individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with dietary needs and preferences

Support residents during activities and outings within the community to promote social engagement

Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices

Provide emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to enhance residents’ quality of life

Follow all safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, and emergency procedures to ensure resident safety at all times
Job Description

Document all day-to-day activities and ensure required documentation is completed.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with individuals, families, coworkers, and outside agencies

Assist clients in maintaining a clean home

Ensure individuals receive their medication and document accurately

Assist individuals with meal preparation
-
Take individuals to their doctor appointments and ensure documentation by providers is completed
-
Compassionate attitude combined with patience, reliability, and a proactive approach to caregiving

Work to implement the goals of the individuals

Engage with ongoing training requirements 24 hours of annual training required.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
-
Valid driver's license
-
CPR/AED/First Aid certification preferred (training available)

Medication Administration preferred (training available)

Physical and TB test
-
Ability to pass a background check

Ability to stand for long periods
-
Ability to handle stressful situations
-
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
-
Ability to complete one-person transfers with a wheelchair
